Introduction

Ok, finally I'm writing something here on this website... I guess I should since some people have been "accusing" me that I'm obviously obsessed with my family. I have to admit it is so true!! My life revolves around my boys.
I've been staying home for quite some time now. 14months to be exact. It wasn't easy to make that decision. Sure, I didn't have the greatest co-workers but never in my wildest dreams had I thought of becoming a stay-at-home mom plus I just didn't fit the typical homemaker persona. For one thing I can't cook, I love staying up late and waking up late as well and I am just so bad when it comes to being on time. Ask my close friends - I'm not proud of it but I'm usually 2hrs late! Always on Pinoy time.
So, after a year of locking me in my pretty prison, something from somewhere just hit me and made me decide to be a little more active and productive.
Aden keeps me busy everyday. I stay home thinking I have a lot of time in my hands but I cannot accomplish much in a day. Whenever Trent comes home from work asking me what I did during the day, I answer "nothing". Not that I'm being rude or lazy to tell him what I did but it's true. Pathetic, huh?! Ever since we got together, we always discuss our activities for the day whether it's good or not so good. But this time, it seems like it's all one way - Trent feeds me information and me? I just feed him food. hahaha!!!
Well, here's my first entry...
Today was Aden's first day at the Little Gym (baby gymnastics class). The class is actually for 10-19month old babies although Aden is the youngest. Classes start at 10:15am but we were a few minutes late (what's new?). Just like mom, Aden wakes up really late. He woke up at 9:30am. I just didn't have the heart to wake him up earlier. So I packed all his food and clothes, then got him dressed and took off. Naturally I was worried he'd throw tantrums since obviously with us having no family and close friends in the area, he had very little exposure to kids his size plus he didn't eat! He only drank milk. But he was fine - he was happy! As soon as we walked in the gym, he went straight to mingle with the other kids. You'd notice though that once in a while, he'd look around to make sure that mommy was just there. So he'd run play with the kids, then after a few minutes, run to me to give me a big hug, then run back to his playmates.
After the class, when the teacher started singing and clapping, most of the kids ran to either one of the parents or grandparents. Aden - well, he stayed where he was standing and started clapping then waved bye-bye like he was flying. That was sooo cute. I wasn't sure though is he was trying to say a nice "bu-bye" or "go away!". It seemed like he's been part of the group forever. From his performance, we decided to do this on a regular basis. We both had fun and I think this is a good way of getting him a exposed.
... Oh, after everybody left, I finally fed him and he ate like he can eat his own mother...
